Kevin Sutton is a former semi-professional wakeboarder living in Orlando, Florida. He picked up the exciting water sport more than eight years ago, and has enjoyed being pulled behind boats around the lakes of Central Florida ever since. Lake water and engine exhaust is in his blood (much to the consternation of his physician).
Kevin is also a natural-born entertainer, having been bit by that particular bug when he was very young. His character-driven antics and room-roaring sense of humor has made him a hit – whether in a club doing stand-up or in a viral video send-up on the internet. He’s also quite the accomplished musician and rapper. But more on that later.
Mayra – first name only please – keeps it real on the radio, giving the female perspective on the show. It is a bit of a boy’s club after all, kind of representative of the action sports they talk up on the show.
She was born in Orlando and grew up a preppy kid. A preppy kid with Michael Jackson posters on her wall (but then again, didn’t we all have a Michael Jackson something or other in the house?) She was also a huuuuge fan of New Kids on the Block. She even wrote an article on the group for one of those ridiculous teen mags, making her the Big Girl On Campus for a while. She even tried to start her own Teen Girl Singing group – Expressions.
At only eight years old, Faithy Fun Time is the youngest member of the show and a representative of the child’s point of view of this strange and wonderful world we live in. While usually featured in her own segment, she also chimes in during other parts of the broadcast with her “youth truth” from time to time
Gian Pietri is the official photographer and videographer of the Kevin Sutton Show. He has taken pretty much every photo on this website (note from Gian: the bad ones are Kevin’s). Gian is also incredibly wise and insatiably nerdy. He loves going to things like MegaCon and taking pictures of others who share his affinity for the “second life.” He also may or may not be a wizard.
For the record, he is the one in the middle of the picture above, which he obviously didn’t take (or did he).
Son studied at the Art Institute of Seattle at 17 years old and graduated with an applied arts degree in commercial art. He worked at Tower Records afterward from 1990 to 1998.
He then got into the “Action Sports” industry designing waterskis and wakeboards for companies like Byerly and Hyperlite in 2001 to the 2009.
