2013 National Kidney Foundation Surf & Turf

Kevin Sutton Show - Richs Blog - Surf and Turf - Noah

The third annual National Kidney Foundation “Surf and Turf” was held at Cocoa Beach Skate Park and Cocoa Beach Pier on August 24th and September 2nd. It was a great event that benefited the NKF and the annual Rick Salick surf contest.

The competition was fierce and came down to the wire between Cocoa Beach phenom Noah Dovin and Alva Skates team member Joshua Forsberg. Noah was explosive in both events (he and his father were up to their old tricks of putting a smoke bomb on the bottom of Noah’s skateboard) taking the surf portion of the event.

Josh shredded to a 2nd place at the Skate Park. Another top contender, Christian Frazier and recent guest of the Kevin Sutton Show, stoked everyone with his win in skateboarding at the park.

Everyone did a great job supporting a great cause and bringing attention to the a very important foundation that helps many of our family members, friends and others who need assistance.

Thanks to those who sponsored the event at the skate park: Sector 9, Vendetta Grip Tape, Surfinista, Life is Good, Sunseed, Taco City, Papa Vitos, The Beachside Resident and especially Scooter Newell, manager at Cocoa Beach Skate Park.
