And now for Kevin’s Wake Spot Of The Week …
Traveling in North Dakota? Get on the water! WakeZone in Bismark, North Dakota, offers wakeboarding on the Missouri River, as well as area lakes, behind their Moomba Mobius LSV.
They also have wakeboards, ropes vests … all the equipment you’ll need in case you are traveling without your gear.
Bruce Fuerstenberg is the owner and coach and has attended water ski and wakeboarding schools in California and Florida. Despite being in North Dakota, WakeZone operates almost all-year round, starting in February and continuing until November.
Check out Bruce’s motto: “Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting … ‘holy shit … what a ride!'”
International edition …
New Caledonia may be in the middle of the South Pacific, 750 miles east of Australia, but you can still find some awesome riding in the protected bays and lagoons surrounding Noumea at the Noumea Wakeboard and Ski Club in New Caledonia.
Ride behind their Malibu or Yamaha for an incredible day on the water.
One of the great things about being part of WakeScout is learning about new places to get on the water to wakeboard, waterski, wakesurf, wakeskate … whatever your passion.
Whether notified by water sport entities that send in requests to be listed from all over the world, a recommendation from someone in the WakeScout community or simply a place we discover in a magazine or news article, each new listing helps achieve our goal to provide the water sport community with more and more places to get on the water.
We recently reached another milestone – we now have over 1,400 places to get on the water listed onWakeScout.
