A time of reflection:
As I enjoy this Easter weekend and remember what we are celebrating, I am happy and grateful for the beautiful blessings in my life.
From my daughter, Faith, to my husband, mother, family and friends, this is a wonderful time of year to rejoice and be glad.
When you look at the world you sometimes wonder what people are thinking. Celebrities throwing money away – 10K at a club in one night, while regular Americans are just trying to keep food on the table. And then the media, has the audacity to feel sorry for celebrities who are broke.
I will not be losing sleep when Dennis Rodman, Warren Sapp, Nicholas Cage and Chris Tucker – even though I love Chris – either are broke or owe the IRS millions of dollars.
Come on people, let’s get back to the simple things. Don’t get me wrong, I love a new Coach bag every once in a while, but I don’t do it while sacrificing my basic needs.
Bottom line, it’s OK to splurge every once in a while, but come on folks, let’s keep it real.
Talk to ya later.
