Hey gang! This week’s Wake Spot of the Week is …
At Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) in Orland, you can wakeboard, waterski, wakeskate or kneeboard behind their Ski and Air Nautiques on their boat lake, or ride on one of their cable lakes with a variety of cable systems to choose from.
They have an advanced full system with 8 obstacles and a full-size cable system for beginner to intermediate riders with a wide variety of obstacles. They also have the Sesitec 2.0. Lessons are available for beginners to advanced skiers and riders.
There is also a house close by that can be rented for anyone looking for accommodations.
No wonder OWC is one of Ian Smith’s favorite places to ride (he’s the Kevin Sutton Show‘s guest on Thursday, April 5). Also, OWC will be hosting the Wake Games next week (on April 14).
And now for the Wake Spot of the Week – International Edition …
When people are thinking about making their summer travel plans, they should consider The Retreat Resort in Sivota, Greece. This place looks incredible. Waterski, wakeboard and wakeskate on an amazing piece of water in an incredible location.
At “The Retreat,” there are numerous coves, great sandy beaches and warm water making for a great place to ride and ski. They have a Ski and Air Nautique with a tower to pull you, as well as a nice selection of boards and skis, in case you are traveling without your gear.
One of the great things about being part of WakeScout is learning about new places to get on the water to wakeboard, waterski, wakesurf, wakeskate … whatever your passion.
Whether notified by water sport entities that send in requests to be listed from all over the world, a recommendation from someone in the WakeScout community or simply a place we discover in a magazine or news article, each new listing helps achieve our goal to provide the water sport community with more and more places to get on the water.
We recently reached another milestone- we now have over 1,300 places to get on the water listed on WakeScout.
